Privacy Policy

We believe privacy should be simple and transparent. Here is exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Data We Collect

Account information

When you create a Laudy account, we collect your name, email address, business name, phone number, and billing information.

Customer data you provide

To send review requests on your behalf, you may upload customer names, email addresses, and phone numbers. This data is used solely to deliver communications you authorize.

Usage data

We automatically collect data about how you use the platform, including pages visited, features used, actions taken, and session duration. This helps us improve the product.

Device and technical data

We collect browser type, IP address, device identifiers, and operating system to ensure compatibility, security, and to prevent fraud.

Review and response data

We sync reviews from connected platforms (Google, Yelp, Facebook) and store your responses and AI-suggested drafts within your account.

How We Use Your Data

To deliver our services

We use your data to send review requests, sync reviews, generate AI responses, display widgets, and provide analytics — all core functions of the Laudy platform.

To communicate with you

We send transactional emails (account confirmations, invoices, alerts) and, with your consent, product updates and marketing communications.

To improve the product

Aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us understand which features are most valuable and where we can improve the experience.

To ensure security

We monitor for suspicious activity, fraud, and unauthorized access to protect you and other users.

To comply with the law

We may process data to meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data

Laudy does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your customers' data to third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

Service providers

We share data with trusted vendors who help us operate — including payment processors (Stripe), email delivery (Postmark), cloud infrastructure (AWS), and analytics. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

Review platforms

To sync reviews and send requests, we communicate with Google, Yelp, and Facebook via their official APIs. Data shared is limited to what those integrations require.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Laudy or its users.

Business transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may transfer to the new entity. We will notify you before that happens.

Cookies & Tracking

Essential cookies

These are required for the platform to function — authentication, session management, and security. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without logging out.

Analytics cookies

We use first-party analytics to understand how users navigate the product. We do not use Google Analytics or other third-party trackers on the dashboard.

Marketing cookies

On our marketing website (laudy.co), we may use cookies to measure campaign effectiveness. You can opt out via your browser settings or our cookie banner.

Managing your preferences

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that disabling cookies may affect platform functionality. For more control, use browser privacy settings or extensions.

Your Rights

Access and portability

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, in a machine-readable format.

Correction

You can update your account information at any time from your settings page. Contact us if you need help correcting inaccurate data.

Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. We will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

Opt-out of marketing

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email, or by updating your notification preferences in your account settings.

If you are located in the EU or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at hello@laudy.co to exercise these rights.
